Challenge Card

Wow - I actually was able to stamp today! I have missed stamping - I had a huge printing project for school that I recently finished and my back then went out. So between all of that and football I have been MIA! This card is for the weekly LateNightStampers challenge. We were given a layout and you had to create a card from it. I love the detail you get from the new Textured Impressions Folder - Petals-A-Plenty! This great folder is in the new winter mini-catalog. I also used the new ribbon from the mini called Mistletoe. Off to Antioch for Ben's game - have a great weekend!

Another LNS Challenge Card

This is my 2nd LNS Challenge entry for this week. I cased the "better get better" card on page 85 of the catalog. It was fun being back in my stamping room today. Now that school is starting again, I hope I'll be able to have more time to do what I love to do - stamp!! I glued a piece of Razzleberry Lemonade DP to a coaster and used the Scallop Circle #2 Bigz Die to make the large scallop circle. I used Melon Mambo ink instead of Rich Razzleberry (which coordinates with this paper). Thanks for looking - hope you're having a great weekend!

Candy Bar Wrapper

Stampin' Up! is currently running a special called "Celebrate Kids" through the end of September. Information can be found on my SU website: http://www.elefevre.stampinup.net/. The LNS challenge for this week was to case any project out of the current catalog and make it "kid friendly". You also had to change 2 things on your case. I choose to do the candy bar wrapper on page 90, and changed the stamp set and added the colors Brocade Blue and So Saffron. Georgie's Flower Pot Card

I threw out a challenge to my club members to make a flower pot card. One of my club member's, Georgie, took on the challenge and emailed me this awesome card! Love the colors she used and the layout! What an awesome job! You won a FREE pack of designer paper with our next club order - congrats!

Flower Pot

I have been wanting to try to make a flower pot card for the longest time and finally made one! I love how easy they are to make, and I like how my first attempt turned out. I used the new Cottage Wall DP for the flowers and the base of the pot. Love, love this paper and how rich the colors are. I didn't have any Rich Razzleberry ribbon, so I made my own using the Whisper White Ribbon, a sponge and a Rich Razzleberry ink pad. I punched the leaves out using the scallop oval punch, scored them down the middle and then ran them through my crimper on a slant.

Christmas in July

This week's LNS challenge is Christmas in July. I used the new level 3 Hostess set, The More the Merrier for this card. I drew the border around the snowmen with Basic Black and Melon Mambo markers. I also love the new Melon Mambo ribbon! It's hard to see, but I used the dotted Texturz Plates on the large piece of white card stock. Here's the details:

Pink & Black Purse

The LNS challenge this week was to make a project using pink and black. Chelsie received a card in the shape of a purse last year and I snagged it to use the template for this project. I didn't have any Pink Passion ribbon, so I used some white 1/4" grosgrain ribbon and went over it with a sponge dauber inked up with Pink Passion. Once I got the layout figured out, it was pretty simple to make. Here's the recipe:

This is a poster that I made for our church's upcoming picnic. I loved using my Stampin' Up! punches to create the grill, burger and cupcake! Bun: Punched 3x using the Large Oval Punch and Creamy Caramel c/s. I then sponged the edges and dotted the top with a Creamy Caramel marker

Patties: Punched 2x using the Large Oval Punch and Chocolate Chip c/s

Lettuce: Glorious Green c/s and Oval Scallop Punch - cut in 1/2

Tomatoes: Real Red c/s; 1/2" Circle Punch

Cheese: 1-1/4" Square Punch and YoYo Yellow c/s - the squares are cut in half

B-Que Supplies:

Grill: 1-3/4" Circle Punch, cut in half; Real Red c/s; White Gel Pen

- Attach at the side and then place a Silver Brad

Legs/Wheels: Going Grey c/s, Word Window Punch, 1/2" Circle Punch, 1/4" Circle Punch, White Gel Pen

Handle: I made the handle for a left over black flower I found, but you can use circle punches

The cupcake was made with the following items:

Base: Silver c/s and 1/2 of the Round Tab Punch

Topping: Pretty in Pink c/s and the Scallop Punch. I re-inserted the scallop c/s back into the scallop punch (turning it upside down so I could see where to line it up) to get the top of the cupcake.

Cherry: 1/2" Circle Punch, Real Red c/s, White Gel Pen

In-Colors B-Day Card

I made this quick card for my niece, and used the new In-Colors, Crushed Curry, Bermuda Bay and Melon Mambo for it. I love, love, love the new In-Colors ribbons and markers! I used the Crushed Curry ribbon on this card; I love how bright it is. I am thrilled that SU! now has In-Color markers, and I used them to ink up the flower image. Thanks for stopping by! Pun Fun Blast Off Card

Yeah, I finally got some time to stamp today! Love the LateNightStampers challenge for this week, and knew I wanted to "play along"! I thought I would use the last of my Rainbow Sherbet DP for this card; I love that paper! I also got out my sewing machine and did a zig zag around the borders. I did the stars by first punching out a small star on c/s, and then punched a larger star around the smaller image. Here's the recipe:

Good Times!

This week's LateNightStampers Challenge is to do a card that has a summer theme. I saw the ducks from Wagon Full of Fun and thought the little guys would be fun to use for this card. I stamped the ducks 3 times, fully colored in 2 and only colored and cut the wing on one duck. I used a Hobby Blade to cut between the slats of the wagon. It's hard to see, but I used a Brilliant Blue brad to attach the handle of the wagon, and 2 Chocolate Chip brads for the wheels on the wagon. I sponged Kiwi Kiss along the bottom of the white Top Note cardstock, and used a water color brush to add some blades of grass. I then sponged YoYo Yellow at the top left-hand side for the sun, and then filled in with Bashful Blue for the sky using another sponge. Thanks for stopping by - hope you have a good one!

Thank You In Ruby Red!

This week's LateNightStampers challenge was to make a card using the colors Ruby Red, Chocolate Chip, Old Olive and Kraft. These aren't colors that I normally gravitate towards, so it was fun to come up with a card using them. I inked up the flower image using a Ruby Red marker and then lightly touched the edges with a Chocolate Chip marker. The stems were inked with an Old Olive marker. I then stamped the image 3 times on a piece of white cardstock. The edges of the cardstock were distressed and then I added some color with a sponge. Here's the details:

Blog Tour Projects - Stayed Tune for Another Tour in July!

I hope you enjoyed the awesome blog tour that I was a part of for the past 48 hours! I had a wonderful time going from blog to blog; what an incredible group of artists! The following were projects I did for the blog tour. I chose to show projects using the awesome Mat Pack and Paper Piercing technique. The paper piercing template in the Mat Pack is awesome to use not only as a guide for piercing paper, but for setting brads and eyelets. I try to incorporate some type of paper piercing in almost all of my projects. Other ideas for paper piercing would be: create borders, rain drops, scallops, creating motion - paper pierce the trial of a butterfly, bee or bird, or create stems for flowers. The possibilities are endless, and it's a great way to enhance your creative works of art!

The above card is one that I did for the LNS Challenge this week. I paper pierced around the edge on the Brocade Blue c/s and just at the corners on the Chocolate Chip c/s (sorry, it's a little hard to see). I lightly rubbed a sponge over the stamped image using Bashful Blue, Brocade Blue and Always Artichoke. The moon image was made by punching out a circle with a 1-1/4" circle punch on a post-it-note. I layered this on the card after I stamped the flowers on the bottom.

We actually did this card at my last stamp camp and it was a lot of fun to make. In the finished card, I also paper pierced just the border on the left-hand side of the card, and the scallops on the Baja Breeze scallop oval. I cut the flower image a part and layered each piece separate. The butterflies where layered together using Mini-Glue Dots and silver cording. Here's the details:

To create the swirl of the butterfly, I drew a pattern on a piece of vellum cardstock. I then paper pierced the swirl following the pattern.

It might be hard to see the pierced squares, but here is the finished product!

To create the dots on the designer paper, I lined up the Mat Pack as shown and paper pierced a row at a time.



The final product! The rose was embossed with white ep and the watercolored in using Cameo Coral and Apricot Appeal reinkers and an Aqua Pen.

I lined up the template from the Mat Pack and pierced a border along the edge.
