One More Direct to Paper Card.....

I couldn't resist trying one more card using the direct to paper technique.  I used the bird image from the new hostess set, Simply Sketched.  I lightly swiped So Saffron ink across the top of the piece of Very Vanilla c/s, then Bashful Blue across the middle, and then some Baked Brown Sugar ink across the bottom.  I inked up the grass using a Gumball Green marker and stamped it several times over the Baked Brown Sugar ink.  The bird image was stamped on a scrap piece of Very Vanilla c/s using a Stazon inkpad, watercolored in with Island Indigo and So Saffron ink and then cut out.

Here's a list for the rest of the materials I used:

Stamps: Simply Sketched
Inks: Black Stazon, Island Indigo, So Saffron, Baked Brown Sugar, Gumball Green, Bashful Blue, Early Espresso
Papers: Very Vanilla, Island Indigo, Baked Brown Sugar
Accessories: Big Shot, Woodgrain EF, Early Espresso Baker's Twine, Vintage Brads, Sponge, Distressing Tool, Blender Pen, Dimensionals

Try Stampin' on Tuesday Challenge

It's a very chilly 51 degrees Tuesday morning here and I am beginning to wonder if summer will ever show up.....so for me, it's a great excuse to stay inside and stamp!  The following is this week's Try Stampin' on Tuesday challenge sketch:

We would love to see your work of art after you have created it, and you can simply load it in the gallery - which you can find HERE.

I did another direct to paper card for my challenge card.  I swiped So Saffron across the top and Baked Brown Sugar across the bottom.  I inked up the grass using the bird image from the set, Simply Sketched, using a Island Indigo marker.  The bird was watercolored in using a blender pen and Island Indigo and So Saffron ink.  Here's the rest of the details:

Stamps: Simply Sketched, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Inks: Island Indigo, So Saffron, Baked Brown Sugar
Papers: Very Vanilla, Baked Brown Sugar, Island Indigo
Accessories: Big Shot, Woodgrain EF, Bitty Banner Framelits, Flower and matching Brad, So Saffron Ribbon, Sponge, Dimensionals

French Foliage

The card below is one of the projects we did at my stamp camp yesterday.  The set, French Foliage, is one of my favorite stamp sets and I like how this 3-layered card came out.  After we stamped the Whisper White layers, I then ran the layers through the Big Shot using the Woodgrain EF.  I added some leaves that were embossed with Clear EP, some Early Espresso ribbon on a slider, and there you have it!  Here's the details on what I used:

Stamps: French Foliage, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Inks: More Mustard, Cherry Cobbler, Cajun Craze, Early Espresso, Soft Suede
Papers: Very Vanilla, Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso
Accessories: Big Shot, Woodgrain EF, Clear EP, Heat Gun Tool, Slider, Early Espresso Ribbon, Sponge, Dimensionals, Scissors

LNS - Wood Challenge

This week's LNS challenge is to create a card, scrapbook page, project, or anything else you can think of that uses wood, and below is the card that I created.

First I ran the white c/s through the Big Shot using the new Woodgrain EF, and then swiped the Soft Suede IP over the front.  I like how it turned out - what do you think?  I then stamped the leaves from French Foliage using different IP, and cut them out.  Added a button and banner, and some baker's twine.  Here's the details:

Stamps: French Foliage, Just Believe (saying)
Inks: Soft Suede, Cajun Craze, Gumball Green, Midnight Muse, Pumpkin Pie
Papers: Whisper White, Soft Suede
Accessories: Big Shot, Woodgrain EF, 1-1/4" Square Punch, Designer Natural Button, Early Espresso Baker's Twine, Dimensionals, Scissors
