Challenge Awash with Flowers Card

I haven't had any time to stamp this week and decided that I just needed to make some time today on this cold and snowy Sunday!  Can you believe it's the end of March and it's lightly snowing here?!  I wish spring would kick 'ol man winter's bootie out of here!  Even the kids at school have been telling me how sick they are of the cold.  So  I decided to make a card with flowers and the promise of spring.......The set I used is called Awash with Flowers; I just watercolored the petals and leaves, and then cut them out.  Added some brads in the middle, stamped "thanks" and added my layers.  Very fast and spring like!  Here's the details:

Stamps: Awash with Flowers, Thank You Kindly
Inks: Basic Black, Blushing Bride, Early Espresso, So Saffron, Certainly Celery
Papers: Whisper White, Early Espresso, So Saffron, Certainly Celery, Blushing Bride DP (Hostess Level 1)

LNS/Creative-Sketches Challenge Card

The sun is out and it's going to be in the mid-50's today; love it!  The warmer weather goes perfectly with this week's LNS theme - Easter/Spring card.  I used the layout from this week's sketch challenge on the Yahoo group, Creative-Sketches.  Since SAB is almost at an end, I thought I would use the buttons/ribbon/designer paper from the SAB Ribbon & Button Pack, Ice Cream Parlor.  Here's the details:

Stamps: Awash with Flowers, Sweet Summer (bee)
Inks: Basic Black, Melon Mambo, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight
Papers: Whisper White, Melon Mambo, Pacific Point, Daffodil Delight
Accessories: Big Shot, Perfect Polka Dot EF, Watercolor Brush, SAB Ice Cream Parlor Ribbon/Buttons and DP, Scallop Trim Border Punch, Scissors, Mini-Glue Dots, Dimensionals

SCS/LNS Challenge Card

My email went down tonight and I almost wasn't sure if I would be able to get this LNS/SCS challenge card downloaded and entered in time.  I couldn't access my email for hours tonight.  So I went on Richard's computer, switched my email back to an older version, and it worked.  Computers - love/hard relationship!  Anyway, this is a combo LNS/SCS card.  Today is Featured Stamper on SCS, and I choose to case a card from the fabulouw "bfinlay" and you can find her SCS gallery HERE.  I saw a great video tutorial on how to use the punch windows die for the Movers & Shapers die without having to actually use the Movers & Shapers die (if that makes sense).  The secret is to place the punch window die inside of the Scallop Square die - I have pictures below on how I did this.  I won't recommend doing this a ton, because it does leave a mark on the clear plastic of the square die.  The dp I used is from the current occasions mini, and it's called Springtime Vintage.  Here's the details:

Stamps: SAB Sweet Summer, Thank You Kindly
Inks: Pear Pizzazz, Basic Black
Papers: Whisper White, Pear Pizzazz, Springtime Vintage DP
Accessories: Big Shot, Scallop Square Die, Punch Windows, Modern Label Punch, Pear Pizzazz Ribon, Blender Pen, Pearls, Scissors, Sponge, Sticky Tape, Dimensionals

Medallion Bliss LNS Card

I finally got some time to stamp today and did the following card for this week's LNS challenge.  We had to do a project that incorporated the color green into it.  I haven't used my Pear Pizzazz ink yet, so I thought I was time to break it out and use it for this challenge.  I paired it with Early Espresso and like how the color combo looks together.  I distressed the edges with my distressing tool and stamped the background stamp from the Bliss SAB set on the Pear Pizzazz.  I found the sticky tape works the best when attaching the heavier poly-ribbon (or any ribbon) when you do the "scrunch" layered look.  Don't forget to change your clocks tonight; I am NOT looking forward to loosing an hour of sleep!!!  Here's the details:

Stamps: Medallion Background, Bliss, You're a Gem
Inks: Early Espresso, Pear Pizzazz
Papers: Whisper White, Early Espresso, Pear Pizzazz
Accessories: Pear Pizzazz Stitched Poly-Ribbon, Scallop Punch, Oval Punch, Basic Pearls, Distressing Tool, Antique Brad, Scissors, Paper Piercing Tool, Sticky Tape, Dimensionals, Mini-Glue Dots, Sponge
