I thought I would try to take the Thanksgiving card I made a couple of days ago to the next level and this is what I came up with. I added some vintage brads and sewed a zig-zag line down the middle; unfortunately the thread bunched up at the top of the card. You can find the recipe for this card below on the Thanksgiving cards I made on Thursday. Thanks for stopping by!
I am so glad you stopped by to take a peek at my blog! I have had "stampin' fever" for over 14 years now and have loved every minute of it! It's a wonderfully contagious disease, but beware... once you catch it, there is no cure!

Football Card
Ben has a birthday party to go to this evening and I made this card. It's not very fancy, but I really don't think that a teenage boy is going to care what the card looks like! Anyway, I made the football from a template I found online (don't know the name of the site, I just googled football template) out of Creamy Caramel cardstock. I used a white gel pen to made the stitching and lines and a Basic Black for the other lines. I then ran it through my Big Shot using the Small Dots Textured Plates. I then "roughed" it up a bit using a sponge and a Chocolate Chip inkpad. Drew some lines on the Really Red cardstock and used the white gel pen to make the numbers. Easy, peasy!
Stamps: None :)
Inks: Chocolate Chip, Basic Black marker
Papers: Creamy Caramel, Real Red
Accessories: White Gel Pen, Ruler, Big Shot, Small Dots Plate, Sponge, Stampin' Dimensionals
Thanksgiving MIT Card
The Mom's-in-Touch group at Ben's school asked me if I could make cards to go along with the treats they are bringing into school next Monday. This is the card I came up with. It felt good to dust off the 'ol stamp pads, ink up a stamp and watercolor! I have to make a birthday card for a party Ben is going to later on today; I'll try to post it after I am done. Enjoy the day - it looks like it's going to be a beauty!
Stamp Sets: Give Thanks, Small Script, Linen Background (all are retired)
Inks: Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie, Always Artichoke, Creamy Caramel, Chocolate Chip
Papers: Whisper White, Chocolate Chip, Creamy Caramel, Autumn Vine DP (retired)
Accessories: Distressing Tool, Blue SU Ribbon (retired), Watercolor Brush, Paper Piercing Tool, Stampin' Dimensionals

Challenge Card
Wow - I actually was able to stamp today! I have missed stamping - I had a huge printing project for school that I recently finished and my back then went out. So between all of that and football I have been MIA! This card is for the weekly LateNightStampers challenge. We were given a layout and you had to create a card from it. I love the detail you get from the new Textured Impressions Folder - Petals-A-Plenty! This great folder is in the new winter mini-catalog. I also used the new ribbon from the mini called Mistletoe. Off to Antioch for Ben's game - have a great weekend!

Another LNS Challenge Card
This is my 2nd LNS Challenge entry for this week. I cased the "better get better" card on page 85 of the catalog. It was fun being back in my stamping room today. Now that school is starting again, I hope I'll be able to have more time to do what I love to do - stamp!! I glued a piece of Razzleberry Lemonade DP to a coaster and used the Scallop Circle #2 Bigz Die to make the large scallop circle. I used Melon Mambo ink instead of Rich Razzleberry (which coordinates with this paper). Thanks for looking - hope you're having a great weekend!

Candy Bar Wrapper
Stampin' Up! is currently running a special called "Celebrate Kids" through the end of September. Information can be found on my SU website: http://www.elefevre.stampinup.net/. The LNS challenge for this week was to case any project out of the current catalog and make it "kid friendly". You also had to change 2 things on your case. I choose to do the candy bar wrapper on page 90, and changed the stamp set and added the colors Brocade Blue and So Saffron. I lightly colored in the bear with Close to Cocoa chalk, and then water colored using the same color. Thanks for stopping by today - hope you have a great weekend!

Flower Pot
I have been wanting to try to make a flower pot card for the longest time and finally made one! I love how easy they are to make, and I like how my first attempt turned out. I used the new Cottage Wall DP for the flowers and the base of the pot. Love, love this paper and how rich the colors are. I didn't have any Rich Razzleberry ribbon, so I made my own using the Whisper White Ribbon, a sponge and a Rich Razzleberry ink pad. I punched the leaves out using the scallop oval punch, scored them down the middle and then ran them through my crimper on a slant.
Stephanie Luman has a wonderful tutorial you can find the instructions on SCS here: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/flowerpotpocket/.
Here's the recipe:
Stamp Set: Curvy Verses
Inks: Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry (for sponging)
Papers: Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White, Cottage Wall DP
Accessories: Crimper, Big Shot, Flowers Layer #3 Sizzix Die, 1/4" Circle Punch, Scallop Eyelet Punch, Scallop Oval Punch, Whisper White Organza Ribbon, Stamp-a-ma-jig, Sponge, Stampin' Dimensionals

This week's LNS challenge is Christmas in July. I used the new level 3 Hostess set, The More the Merrier for this card. I drew the border around the snowmen with Basic Black and Melon Mambo markers. I also love the new Melon Mambo ribbon! It's hard to see, but I used the dotted Texturz Plates on the large piece of white card stock. Here's the details:
Stamp Set: The More the Merrier
Inks: Basic Black, Melon Mambo, Brocade Blue, Only Orange, Soft Suede, Green Galore
Card stock: Melon Mambo, Brocade Blue, Whisper White
Accessories: Big Shot, Top Note Die, Dotted Texturz Plate, Word Window Punch, Watercolor Brush, Melon Mambo Ribbon, Brocade Blue Brads, Paper Piercing Tool, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, 2-Way Glue Pen, Scissors, Stampin' Dimensionals

Pink & Black Purse
The LNS challenge this week was to make a project using pink and black. Chelsie received a card in the shape of a purse last year and I snagged it to use the template for this project. I didn't have any Pink Passion ribbon, so I used some white 1/4" grosgrain ribbon and went over it with a sponge dauber inked up with Pink Passion. Once I got the layout figured out, it was pretty simple to make. Here's the recipe:
Stamp Set: Baroque Motifs
Inks: Basic Black, Pink Passion (for ribbon)
Papers: Basic Black, Pink Passion
Accessories: Big Shot, Flowers Layers #3, Eyelet Border Punch, Trio Flower Punch, Pewter Jumbo Eyelet, CAD, Paper Piercing Tool, Basic Black and White 1/4" grosgrain ribbons, Stampin' Dimensionals, scissors, sponge dauber, mini-glue dots

Isn't this little burger cool? Here's the items I used to make it:
Bun: Punched 3x using the Large Oval Punch and Creamy Caramel c/s. I then sponged the edges and dotted the top with a Creamy Caramel marker
Patties: Punched 2x using the Large Oval Punch and Chocolate Chip c/s
Lettuce: Glorious Green c/s and Oval Scallop Punch - cut in 1/2
Tomatoes: Real Red c/s; 1/2" Circle Punch
Cheese: 1-1/4" Square Punch and YoYo Yellow c/s - the squares are cut in half
Grill: 1-3/4" Circle Punch, cut in half; Real Red c/s; White Gel Pen
- Attach at the side and then place a Silver Brad
Legs/Wheels: Going Grey c/s, Word Window Punch, 1/2" Circle Punch, 1/4" Circle Punch, White Gel Pen
Handle: I made the handle for a left over black flower I found, but you can use circle punches
The cupcake was made with the following items:
Base: Silver c/s and 1/2 of the Round Tab Punch
Topping: Pretty in Pink c/s and the Scallop Punch. I re-inserted the scallop c/s back into the scallop punch (turning it upside down so I could see where to line it up) to get the top of the cupcake.
Cherry: 1/2" Circle Punch, Real Red c/s, White Gel Pen

Another Father's Day Card
This is the card I made for my FIL for Father's Day. It's similiar to the one I made for Richard (see recipe below); the only difference is I paper pierced it more and didn't add any tools. Thanks for stopping and hope you're enjoying your day!

Yeah, I finally got some time to stamp today! Love the LateNightStampers challenge for this week, and knew I wanted to "play along"! I thought I would use the last of my Rainbow Sherbet DP for this card; I love that paper! I also got out my sewing machine and did a zig zag around the borders.
