I am so glad you stopped by to take a peek at my blog! I have had "stampin' fever" for over 14 years now and have loved every minute of it! It's a wonderfully contagious disease, but beware... once you catch it, there is no cure!

Kids at Play Card
Our Moms-in-Touch group is bringing treats to school next week Wednesday. I love to make a card to go along with the goodies! Richard is going in for surgery next Tuesday, so I thought I had better get this done before next week sneaks up me! I got the idea for the card from the Weekend Sketch Challenge #25 on Splitcoasters. Since I had to make a card, I thought I would incorporate the sketch challenge and the card in one project. You can view other great samples of this project on: www.splitcoasters.com
Here's the recipe:
Stamp Sets: Kids at Play, More Kids at Play (retired - I love these sets and will always keep them!)
Inks: Basic Black, Regal Rose, Brocade Blue, Bashful Blue, YoYo Yellow, Summer Sun, Green Galore, Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa, Going Grey
Paper: Whisper White, Regal Rose, Flowers for You
Accessories: Watercolor Brush, Scissors, Sewing Machine, Thread, Pink & Blue Brads, Photo Corners Punch, 1/16" Punch

Artfully Asian Card
I had fun designing this card for the Spotlight Challenge on Splitcoasters. The object of this challenge was to spotlight an area of your card. This is a good way to add a special focus on a certain area of your card, or a way to avoid coloring in a big area. There are a lot of possibilities with this type of technique.
Here's what I used to make this card:
Inks: Basic Black, Purely Pomegrante, Wild Wasabi
Paper: Whisper White, Purely Pomegrante, Wild Wasabi
Stamps: Artfully Asian, Linen Background Stamp
Accessories: Purely Pomegrante Ribbon, Watercolor Brush, Black Brads, Dimensionals, Sponge, Punches: 1/16", Scallop and Photo Corners

Halloween Card
I am not a big Halloween person but I love the stamp set, Haunting Halloween, and knew I needed to make something with it. I cased this card from one I saw on Splitcoasters (gallery name - parkerquilter). Hope you like it, and here's what I used to make it:
Stamps: Haunting Halloween, Itty Bitty Backgrounds
Papers: Creepy Crawly, Only Orange, Black, Whisper White
Inks: Black, Only Orange, Close to Cocoa, YoYo Yellow, Going Grey
Accessories: Watercolor Brush, Black brads, 1/16" punch, Photo Corners Punch, Deckle Scissors, Crimper, Dimensionals

I saw this Halloween treat box by Sharon Johnson on her blog, No Time to Stamp?, and knew I had to try one! It was fast and I think very cute! Here's what you need to make it:
Papers: Apple Cider Designer Paper (from the Holiday Mini-Catalog)
Inks: Basic Black
Stamps: Bitty Boos (retired)
Accessories: Triangle Eyelets, Crop-A-Dile, 1/16" punch, Round Tab punch, Black Gingham Ribbon
Here's how to make it:
Cut 2 pieces of double sided paper, each 10.5" x 4.5". Score each piece at 3" and 7.5". Score each piece .75″ from the end, all 4 ends (this gives you the flap that is folded over). Stamp whatever images you want to use - but make sure the images aren't covered when you fold the flaps over. Fold the flaps down and use the Crop-A-Dile, to punch holes on each side of each end, approximately 1/2" in from the end, and centered on the fold over flap. Insert eyelets into those holes. Lay your two pieces down, one on top of the other, in a + shape, and mount the two bottoms together. Fold the sides up and thread the ribbon through the eyelets, and tie to keep the box in shape.
Another crisscross card
It's my sister's Barbara birthday, and we are getting together for breakfast tomorrow. I made this birthday crisscross card for her. I am not sure if I liked how it turned out, and I hope she likes it. Ben had an early football game today and I think I'm tired from all the yelling - and yes, his team won 13-6 and are undefeated! I cased this card from the incredibly talented Cambria Turnbow; she is an incredible stamper! I changed a few things from her card on Splitcoasters. Here's the recipe:
Inks: Basic Black, Purely Pomegranate, Certainly Celery, So Safron
Stamps: Figure of Speech, Send a Celebration, Polka Dot Party
Papers: Purely Pomegranate, Cutie Pie, Whisper White
Accessories: Scallop Circle Punch, 1" and 1 3/8" Circle Punches, Brads, 1/16" and 1/8" Handheld Punches, White Ribbon, Sticky Strip, Dimensionals, Sewing Machine and Thread.

iTune Holder
It's Chelsie's 15th birthday today. One of her gifts was an iTune card, and I needed to make a holder for the card. I "threw" this together late last night! Here's what I used:
Papers: Whisper White, Pretty in Pink, Loves Me (retired)
Inks: Black and Versa Mark Pads, Pretty in Pink and Barely Banana markers
Set: Girlfriends
Accessories: Pink Ribbon, Circle Punch, Scallop Punch, Dimensionals, Sewing machine and white thread

Homecoming
I don't want Chelsie to think that I haven't forgotten her on my blog! It was homecoming last weekend and Chelsie looked beautiful in her dress. Her birthday is tomorrow - 15. Happy birthday darling - you're the best!!
I bought a gift card from Hollister as a birthday gift and didn't have time to make a card to go with it. So I thought I would "dress" up the front of the gift card holder and came up with this idea. I only had about 20 minutes to make this, so the next time I do something like this, I will put a few more embellishments on it. Here's the recipe:
Stamp: Send a Celebration
Papers: Spring Flowers, Cameo Coral, Whisper White
Inks: Black, Cameo Coral, Mellow Moss, Barely Banana
Accessories: Photo corner punch, round tab punch, word window punch, 1/16" hand held punch, coral flower brads from Joanne's, brown ribbon, sponge, dimensionals, scissors
I have to brag on Ben again! His football team won 21-14, and are still undefeated! The other team had a lot of dirty hits and I am so proud of Ben and they way they played. They didn't allow the bad play of the other team get to them, and they won! It was a cooker out there, but a lot of fun! Great job Ben!!!
