Try Stampin' on Tuesday Challenge

Ready for another great Try Stampin' on Tuesday sketch challenge?  This week's sketch is shown below, and we would love to have you play along with us this week!  Once you have finished crafting your work of art, you can simply load it HERE

Below is my take on the above sketch.  I stamped the bird image from the new hostess stamp set, Simply Sketched, twice on Whisper White c/s using a black StazOn inkpad.  I colored in one set of the image using my trusty watercolor brush with Wild Wasabi, So Saffron and Old Olive inks.  I colored in  just the bird image on the other stamped image, I colored the bird in with So Saffron and Midnight Muse and cut it out.

It was a pretty simple card to make and I will probably use the same layout to make a Father's Day card for my hubbie......here's a list of what I used:

Stamps: Simply Sketched
Inks: Black StazOn, Midnight Muse, So Saffron, Old Olive, Wild Wasabi
Papers: Whisper White, So Saffron, Midnight Muse, So Saffron DSP
Accessories: Big Shot, Windows Frame Collection Framelits, Hearts a Flutter Framelit Dies, So Saffron Button, Early Espresso and White Baker's Twine, Chevron EF, Watercolor Brush, Dimensionals, Mini-Glue Dots

Techno Stamper - Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge

Happy Monday - hope everyone had a great weekend!  Are you ready for this week's Techno Lunchtime  Sketch Challenge?  Below is this week's sketch and after you have created your card for the sketch, you can load it HERE.

For my card I used the new Stampin' Up! hostess set, Simply Sketched.  I stamped the flower image on watercolor c/s using a black StazOn inkpad, and then colored in the flower with a blender pen using Rose Red, Old Olive and Wild Wasabi markers.  I then cut it out and layered it over the flower image that I had originally stamped on the watercolor c/s.  I felt it needed a little extra something, so hence why I stamped the image twice......

I used the background image from the set, Elements of Style.  After I stamped the background image, I distressed the edges, crumped up the paper and lightly swiped some Soft Suede on the sides.

Hope you like my take on this week's sketch; below is a list of what I used for my card:
