Another Fabulous Floret Card

Can you tell I got some new stampin' toys?!  Here's another card that I cased from the new Summer Mini - very quick and easy!  I just love these colors together!  I cut the center piece of white c/s 3" x 4-1/4", and I think that sized worked well on this card.  Here's the details:

Stamps: Fabulous Florets
Inks: Melon Mambo, Tangerine Tango, Pacific Point, Wild Wasabi
Papers: Daffodil Delight, Pacific Point, Whisper White
Accessories: Daffodil Delight Ribbon, Scallop Edge Border Punch, Dimensionals, Sewing Machine/Thread

Fabulous Florets

I made the following card using the new stamp set, Fabulous Florets, from the Summer Mini Catalog that goes into effect tomorrow, May 1st.  I love the coordinating designer paper that goes with it, Beyond the Garden, and all the colors used in this bright and fun dp - Wild Wasabi, Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Pacific Point, and Tangerine Tango.   These cards are cased from the one in the mini, and I changed them it up a bit.  I also used the new embossing folder, Flower Garden, to make the flower in the background (which is also in the Summer Mini).  One card has a saying on it, the other doesn't - leave a comment and let me know which one you like the best.  Thanks for stopping by, here's the details:

Stamps: Fabulous Florets, You're a Gem
Inks: Melon Mambo, Tangerine Tango, Wild Wasabi
Papers: Whisper White, Tangerine Tango
Accessories: Big Shot, Flower Garden EF, Scallop Trim Border Punch, Daffodil Delight Satin Ribbon, Small Oval Punch, Wire Clip, Dimensionals, Scissors

LNS Challenge

This week's LNS challenge was to create a project using a patriotic theme.  I used My Digital Studio to create this page of my dad carrying the flag down Michigan Avenue with his buddies from the VFW during a parade.

This Week's Creative Sketch

For this week's Creative Sketch, we need to make a project using this template:

I just received a new set from the new Summer Mini, Fabulous Florets, and wanted to use this set for the project.  I love that there are 3 new embossing powders in the new mini: Tangerine Tango, Wild Wasabi and Melon Mambo!  I embossed the main flower using the Melon Mambo EP and then watercolored in the flower using a watercolor brush and Melon Mambo ink.  I also embossed the background flowers using the new EP; love the rich color!  The background paper is also from the new summer mini and it's called, Beyond the Garden; very bright and pretty!  Here's the details:

Stamps: Fabulous Florets, A Good Egg (saying)
Inks: VersaMark, Melon Mambo, Wild Wasabi, Daffodil Delight
Papers: Whisper White, Melon Mambo, Beyond the Garden DP

LNS Baby Card Challenge

Happy Easter everyone!  I am so thankful for Easter, and the eternal gifts of truth, hope, love, forgiveness, mercy and grace through Jesus' death on the cross.

This week's LNS challenge was to make a some type of baby project - card, scrapbook page, box, etc.  I choose to go with a card and combine this challenge with Thursday's SCS Way to Use It Challenge.  This card was pretty easy to make; I stamped the baby carriage on a piece of BAB Pawsitively Prints dp.  I cut it out and then stamped just the image on an oval I cut out with the oval die.  Here's the details:

Inks: Early Espresso, Poppy Parade
Papers: Whisper White, So Saffron, BAB Pawsitively Prints DP

Spring? Winter?

I took the following pictures about 6:00 a.m. this morning.  Can't believe we woke up to almost 2 inches of snow on the ground this morning!  It was pretty chilly out on the 'ol playground at school; how I longed to stay home and stamp instead of stand out in the cold!

I wonder how long it will be before we can open up the pool!

Creative Sketches Challenge Card

For this week's challenge we used the colors Daffodil Delight, Bashful Blue and Elegant Eggplant, and the card below is what I came up with.  This card is actually cased from the upcoming Summer Mini Catalog and I used the set, Strength & Hope.  Stampin' Up! is donating $2.00 from each purchase of the set to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

I inked up butterfly using an Elegant Eggplant inkpad, cut it out and then spritzed it with the Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spirtz.  I then distressed flowers I punched out using the Boho Blossom Punch, as well as the edges on the designer paper, label and cardstock.  Added a touch of pearls and ribbon to the card, and there you have it!  Hope you have time to play along with this week!

Vellum Punch Templates

I wanted to share some pics of some vellum templates I made of all the punches I have.  I believe you can get the clear holders at Staples (someone gave me the ones I used).  I used SU vellum cardstock to create templates of the punches I own.  I now have a handy dandy punch guide!  Have a great day and I hope you're enjoying the beautiful weather outside!

Collette's Challenge Card

One of my favorite stampin' buddies, Collette, has a fun challenge posted on her blog.  You can check out the sketch here.   I made this card for a friend of mine who recently lost her sister to lung cancer.  Because the flower is so big and really popped out, I think this card would best be hand delivered rather than mailed!  After I stamped the images on the oval piece of designer paper, I spritzed it with some Very Vanilla Smooch Spritz spray.  I used an Aqua Pen and a drop of Cherry Cobbler reinker to dye the large Vanilla Rosette.  Here's the details:

Stamps: Nature Walk, Four Frames, Warmest Regards
Inks: Early Espresso, Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive
Papers: Very Vanilla, Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso, Botanical Gazette DP
Accessories: Big Shot, Oval Scallop Die, Vintage Wallpaper EF, Decorative Label Punch, Vanilla Rosette, Aqua Painter, Brown Brads, Sponge, Dimensionals, Mini-Glue Dots, SAMJ
