Just Believe Challenge Card

Todays SCS challenge was to make a card using the colors Always Artichoke, Pretty in Pink and Cherry Cobbler.  I used the set, Just Believe, for this card and it was pretty simple to make.  I colored in the image with Always Artichoke and Cherry Markers and set 2 Pretty in Pink brads in the middle of 2 flowers.  Colored in the saying the same markers and punched it out with a large circle punch.  Ripped the bottom of the c/s, distressed the edges, and tied a Pretty in Pink ribbon around the c/s.  I then mounted on Cherry Cobbler cardfront c/s.  One pic has a sewed border, one doesn't......thanks for stopping by!

Inks: Always Artichoke, Cherry Cobbler
Papers: Always Artichoke, Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White

SCS Clean and Simple Challenge Card

I love this set, Charming, and am so glad that SU brought it back in this year's catty!  This is my card for today's SCS Clean and Simple Card challenge.  This card is similar the the one we made at yesterday's stamp camp.  I ran a piece of Whisper White c/s through my Big Shot using the new Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder and then tied a piece of Rich Razzleberry Ribbon around the front.  Stamped "create" on a scrap piece of paper and cut it out with the small oval punch.  Then I tied a bow and then used my CAD to set one of the Antique Brads and the punched saying.  Used Old Olive and Rich Razzleberry markers to color in the image and then cut the image out using the new Scallop Rectangle Clearlit.  I used the Beautiful Wings Embosslit Die for the small butterfly.

Stamp Set: Charming
Inks: Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry
Papers: Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White
Accessories: Big Shot, Beautiful Wings Embosslit, Vintage Wallpaper EF, Scallop Rectangle Clearlit, Antique Brad, Small Oval Punch, Rich Razzleberry Grossgrain Ribbon, Scissors

Catty Case

Yesterday I got the set, Just Believe and cased this card directly from the catty (page 97).  This set is quickly becoming one of my favorites!  I didn't have any vanilla ribbon, so I used a piece of Whisper White Organza Ribbon and sponged some Crumb Cake ink on the ribbon to dye it.  This card was very fast to make, but love how it came out!  Here's the details:

Inks: Markers - Old Olive, Soft Suede, Crumb Cake; Ink Pad - Crumb Cake

Simply Charming....

I have had the set, Charming, for awhile now and it made a come back in the new catty.  This is a card that I came up using one of my favorite color combos, Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive.  I used the new Scallop Rectangle Clearlits (page 211) to cut out the flower image.  I stamped the background image first on a piece of Very Vanilla c/s.  I colored in the flower using a Rich Razzleberry and an Old Olive marker, and then stamped the image over the background.  I then layed the clearlit over the stamp image and ran it through the Big Shot.  Hope you like this card; we'll be making it at my stamp camp on Sunday.

Some Stamp Camp Projects

I saw a beautiful card on the very talented Connie Tumm's blog (Here) and this is my version of it.  The flower and leaves were actually stamped on a piece of designer paper (Greenhouse Gala) and then cut out (very carefully).  Love how it gives the image looked watercolored in and dimension it gives to them.

I cased this card from one I saw on SCS (Here), and this is my version of it.  Have a great day everyone, I'm off to make pasta for Ben - he has football practice at 3:30!  It's one hot, hot day out; poor guy.  Good thing he loves football!

Freshman Orientation

Yesterday was Ben's first day of high school and freshman orientation.  I took these pictures from our driveway as he didn't want me any where near him while he was waiting for the bus!
