Cased Color Challenge Merci Card

Today the challenge on splitcoasters was to case a card from a featured gallery. You had to change 2 or more things on the card. Today the features stamper was Kristi's (called Ink Spot on SCS) and she has some awesome cards on SCS. I am not 100% sure if I like how this card turned out. Ben started a running a high fever again and I think he has strep (off to the dr. tomorrow!). I didn't have a lot of time to put into this card, but thought I would post it anyway. Here's the recipe:

Stamp: Merci, Itty Bitty Backgrounds
Paper: Whisper White, So Saffron, Regal Rose, Certainly Celery, Flowers For You DP

Pun Fun Card

Chelsie is still not feeling well and didn't go to school today. With MHS being on a block schedule, I can only image how much homework she will have when she goes back on Monday! Anyway, I thought I would take advantage of being home and did this card for the SCS Weekend Sketch Challenge. I ordered this set in conjunction with the Free Wheel Promotion going on right now and knew I needed to make something with this great set! I used the Spots & Dots Cuttlebug folder and tried the reverse imaging technique. You have to ink up the inside of the folder using a brayer and inkpad. Put your cardstock in the folder and then run the cutting pads through the Cuttlebug and it "reverses" the color on the cardstock. Simple and fun! The saying I used is computer generated. I have 2 pictures - after I made the first one, I wanted the background behind the rocket to look like the moon, so I did it over. Here's the recipe:

Stamps: Pun Fun, Like It A Latte (for the smoke coming out of the rocket, Print Pattern Background Stamp
Inks: Wild Wasabi, Brilliant Blue, YoYo Yellow, Only Orange, Basic Black, Bashful Blue
Cardstock: Whisper White, Brilliant Blue, Wild Wasabi
Accessories: Orange Ribbon, Cuttlebug & Spots & Dots Folder, Brilliant Blue Eyelet, CAD, CM circle templates and cutters, Brayer, Pop-Up Glue Dots, Stampin' Dimensionals, Scissors

Voila SCS Challenge Card

This is the first time I have done a SCS Sketch Challenge and I thought the Voila set would be perfect to use. Chelsie has a very nasty flu bug right now. Ben said he wasn't feel all that great when he left for school, but I think he just hoping to stay home! Since I really can't go anywhere, I thought I would use this time to stamp!! As I started to sew the edges on the So Saffron & DP Paper, my sewing machine ran out of thread. So I thought I would just continue on sewing and just pulled out the thread! Thanks for stopping by - hope you have a great day! Here's the details:

Stamp Set: Voila

Embrace Life Flip Fold Card

After seeing some really cool projects done with this et, I finally ordered it. I saw a flap fold card featured on SCS and thought this set would be great for this project! I haven't used my blender pens for a while, so I pulled them out and colored in the flowers using them. I colored the whole flower using the Groovy Guava inkpad, then used the Ruby Red inkpad to add color to the edges. So here it is - hope you like it! Thanks for stopping by today!

Stamp Set: Embrace Life

Inks: Basic Black, Groovy Guava, Ruby Red

Heartfelt Thanks

I had a little time today to stamp and thought I would try the SCS Misting with Markers challenge. I think this card turned out ok. I inked up the flower with the Pixie Pink marked then edged it with a Pink Passion marker. I then did the stem with a Gable Green marker and edges with a Green Galore marker. Then I lightly sprayed water on the stamp and quickly stamped three flowers. I then inked up another flower using the Pixie Pink and Pink Passions markers, lightly sprayed the stamp and stamped on the white cardstock (layered over the Barely Banana c/s). I used the Mat Pack and a needle to do the holes at the corners. Here's what I used:

Stamp Set: Heartfelt Thanks
Inks: Pink Passion inkpad, Markers: Pink Passion, Pixie Pink, Green Galore, Gable Green, Barely Banana
Cardstock: Whisper White, Barely Banana, Pink Passion
Accessories: Gold Cording, Mat Pack, Needle, 1/16" Punch, Large Oval Punch, Sponge, Stampin' Dimensionals

Vase with Rub Ons

I found a vase that I bought at a garage sale many years ago and thought I would try to dress it up on with some Stampin' Up! Rub Ons! I also put one on the candle. I had to rub the candle with some paper towel before the rub on would stick to it. Have a blessed Easter everyone - had to believe it's spring with 6 inches of snow on the ground today!!!
