Sorry about not posting any projects lately. Richard has been in the hospital since the end of February and I haven't had a whole of time to do much of anything! The good news is that he might come on Wednesday. Long/short story - he had an imflammation in his lower intestines that eventually led to a small hole, and he had to have emergency surgery.

I am still planning on having my stamp camp on Sunday, March 22nd at 2:00 p.m., and we will be using products from the new Spring Mini!

SAB Botanical Blooms

This is one of the cards we will be making at my annual Mystery Hostess workshop I am hosting this coming Sunday at 2:00 p.m. I am going to give away all of the hostess benefits, and a few extra goodies! I stamped 2 versions of this card and used the new eyelet border punch on the 2nd card and tucked the ribbon behind the white cardstock. I am really looking forward to seeing everyone who will be coming!!!

Picture Frame

I purchased this picture frame from Kohl's awhile ago and finally decided to put some pictures in it! When I picked up the frame from the where it was, someone had broken the glass from the where the middle picture should go. Strangely enough, no one know who did it; it must of been the cats! Anyway, I decided to create something to put in the middle since I didn't have any glass for a picture. I used the old retired Porcelein Prints designer paper for the background and on the letter "f"; which was sanded with a sanding block. I computer generated the "family" saying and then mounted it in an oval hodgepodge hardware frame. Added some accents (brads, ribbons, pearls) and put the pictures in!

Product from the new catalog

I ordered a few items from the new 2009 Spring/Summer Idea Book & Catalog and thought you might like to see them. These are the items I took a picture of: Scallop Edge Punch, 5/8" Whisper White Ribbon, 5/8" Neutral Brads and Accent & Elements Fleurettes.

I love the new Eyelet Border Punch! It's very similar to the Scallop Edge Punch and I used my new punch for the card that I posted earlier today. Aren't the Fleurettes adorable? They remind me of the dollies that my mom use to crochet for me! The Whisper White Ribbon is very sheer and absolutely beautiful; can't wait to use it. The brads are pretty big, and I think will be fun to embellish with!

A Little Something Card

Today's SCS Challenge was to create a simple card. This is what I came up with using the 2 of the new SAB sets you can earn starting February 1st, and the new Eyelet Border Punch. I inked the flower stamp using Regal Rose and Certainly Celery markers and then stamped the image 3 times (not reinking before I stamped). I inked up the saying using the same markers and used the Stamp-a-ma-Jig to postion it on the card. Thanks for taking a peek!

Under the Stars

This is my card for today's SCS Sketch Challenge. I don't know if you can tell, but I put some Crystal Effects on the inside of the s'more and then after it dried, I lightly added some Close to Cocoa. I was going to use some Liquid Applique, but mine was all dried up! Here's the details:

Surfing Penguin

Here is my card for todays SCS Color Challenge. I was trying to come up with a boy birthday card and the great colors today - Garden Green, Baja Breeze & Pacific Point - were a great fit!

I stamped the penguin image twice, watercolored both images and cut out just the penguin from one. Mounted it over the other image using dimensionals.

Pun Fun Card

For today's SCS challenge you had to make a card with the main focus being black cardstock. I love using the Bella Rose DP - it is so versatile! This is what I came up with. After I finished the card, I wasn't quite sure I liked it. So I carefully took off the stamped image and inserted a black strip on the bottom that I punched using the Scallop Edged Punch. I then pierced the holes on the scallops. I like the second card better. Here's the details:
