I am so glad you stopped by to take a peek at my blog! I have had "stampin' fever" for over 14 years now and have loved every minute of it! It's a wonderfully contagious disease, but beware... once you catch it, there is no cure!

Vintage Vogue Card
This week's LNS Challenge was to make a card using a brad. I pre-ordered this set, Vintage Vogue, from the upcoming new Occasions Mini-Catalog and thought I would use it for this challenge. This mini-catalog offers stamps in either the traditional wood blocks - or - in clear mount. I also ordered the clear-mount block set and really like using them! The sides are grooved for easy gripping and stamping. The leaves in back of the flower were made using the new Extra Large Two-Step Bird Punch from the mini-catalog. The border on the right-hand side was made from the new Scallop Trim Border Punch available from the upcoming Sale-A-Bration event starting on January 5th! For ever $50.00 you spend in product, you receive a FREE set from the SAB catalog - or - any of the sets listed in the back of the SAB brochure. Below is what I used for this card - Happy New Year's everyone!
Stamps: Vintage Vogue
Inks: Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry
Paper: Whisper White, Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry
Accessories: Clear Mount Blocks, Stamp-a-Ma-Jig, Scallop Trim Border Punch, Mistletoe Old Olive Ribbon, Extra Large Two-Step Bird Punch, Circle Ice Rhinestone Brad, Stampin' Dimensionals, Mini-Glue Dots, Scissors, Sponge
Love the new punches! They punch nice and smooth, and love how they "fold" up when you're done!

Out of the Box Christmas Card
This week's LNS challenge was to come up with a Christmas card using non-traditional colors, and this is what I came up with. I stamped the ornaments twice using a Rich Razzleberry inkpad, punched them out using the ornament punch, and folded one of the ornaments in-half. I then mounted one ornament on top of the other using mini-glue dots. The ornament and bird are from the Merry Details Die from the Holiday Mini Catalog. I had a piece of Rich Razzleberry cardstock left over that I used to cut a Top Note Die from and mounted the designer paper underneath the cut out image. Here's the details:
Stamp Sets: Delightful Decorations
Inks: Rich Razzleberry
Papers: Whisper White, Rich Razzleberry, Crushed Curry, Razzleberry Lemonade DP
Accessories: Silver Brads, Paper Piercing Tool, Crushed Curry Ribbon, Silver Cording, Merry Details Die, Big Shot, White Gel Pen, Ornament Punch, Mini Glue Dots, Adhesive, Dimensionals, Scissors

Mug Card
I needed something fast to make for a gift card for one of Ben's teacher and came up with this mug card. I had some Starbuck's drink holders and one of them would make a cute base for the the mug. Like I said, I had to come up with something fast!
Stamp Sets: Delightful Decorations, Serene Snowflakes, Season of Joy
Inks: Glorious Green, Real Red, Ballet Blue
Papers: Whisper White
Accessories: Ornament Punch, Scissors, Sponge, Silver Cording

Another SCS Challenge Card
I had a few minutes after work to play along with today's SCS Sketch Challenge. I used a very old (retired) set called Gingerbread House. I haven't watercolored in a long time and it felt good to sit and "color"! I used a 2-way Glue Pen along the edges of the house and then added some Dazzling Diamonds Glitter. Here's a list of the supplies:
Sets: Gingerbread House
Inks: Basic Black, Glorious Green, Creamy Caramel, Close to Cocoa, Red Red, Brilliant Blue
Papers: Whisper White, Creamy Caramel, Real Red, Merry Moments DP
Accessories: Red & Chocolate Chip Ribbons, Eyelet Border Punch, Watercolor Brush, 2-Way Glue Pen, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, Scissors, Dimensionals, Sponge

SCS & LNS Challenge
I combined 2 challenges for this card - SCS color challenge and this week's LNS challenge. The colors for the SCS challenge were Barely Banana, Always Artichoke and Rich Razzleberry. I didn't have any Artichoke ribbon and dyed some Whisper White Organza Ribbon that color. It's hard to see, but I lightly used one of the images from Itty Bitty Backgrounds in Barely Banana in the open white spaces. Thanks for stopping by - here's the recipe:
Stamps: Inspired by Nature, Itty Bitty Backgrounds
Markers: Barely Banana, Always Artichoke, Rich Razzleberry
Papers: Whisper White, Rich Razzleberry, Barely Banana, Razzleberry Lemonade DP
Accessories: Always Artichoke Brads, Piercing Tool, Large Oval Punch, Top Note Die, Big Shot, Whisper White Organza Ribbon, Sponge, Dimensionals

Dasher SCS Card
I had a little bit of time today to play along with today's SCS Clean & Simple Challenge before I left for work, and this is what I came up with. It's hard to tell, but I added some Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint on the border after I colored in the center of the flowers with a Real Red Marker. Love the Shimmer Paint and definitely need to order more before the Winter Mini expires on January 4th! Have a great day everyone - here's the recipe:
Stamp Sets: Dasher, Delightful Decorations, So Many Scallops (retired)
Inkpads & Markers: Chocolate Chip, Real Red

Window Card
I saw a really cute card on SCS done by Julie Freysinger and this is my version. You can find her card on here: http://twofriendsstamping.typepad.com/two-friends-stamping/2009/11/from-our-house-mojo-114.html. I changed a few things around; I used a 1-1/4" Square Punch instead of the 1-3/8" punch Julie used and added the little Christmas trees from the Merry Details Embosslit. Here's the supplies I used:
Stamps: Sweet Season
Inks: Chocolate Chip, Real Red Marker
Papers: Real Red, Old Olive, Whisper White, Chocolate Chip DP
Accessories: 1-1/4" Square Punch, Merry Details Embosslit, Big Shot, Large Oval Punch, Scallop Edge Punch, Real Red 1/2" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon, Mini Silver Library Clip, Mini-Glue Dots, Stampin' Dimensionals

Santa Made From Punches
I saw this cute little guy on Gretchen Barron's blog and knew I wanted to give it a try and make him! If you haven't seen Gretchen's blog, here is the link for it - she is one awesomely talented stamper http://gretchenbarron.typepad.com/my_weblog/!! If you would like to make this little guy for yourself, please come to my Holiday Stamp Camp on Sunday, December 4th at 2:00 p.m. The cost is only $25.00, and we'll be making some fun holiday projects!
This project is done using punches and the Top Note Die. I used the large image stamp from Baroque Motifs; inked it up with Blush Blossom and then stamped in on a white piece of cardstock that I had cut using the Top Note Die. I used this for the beard and at the top of the face. You can see that I used the Scallop Edge Punch to make the edge of the hat. The face and hat were also made using this die. I used the 1" circle punch for the eyes and lid, and a 3/4" punch to make the pupils and nose. I then sponged Pretty in Pink around this cheeks and feathered the edges of the eyelids and beard.
Here's the recipe:
Stamp Set: Baroque Motif
Inks: Pretty in Pink, Blush Blossom, Basic Black marker
Papers: Whisper White, Blush Blossom, Real Red, Basic Black
Accessories: Big Shot, Top Note Die, Scallop Edge Punch, 1"& 3/4" Circle Punches, White Gel Pen, Stampin' Dimensionals, Cotton Ball, Sponge

Another Thanksgiving Card
I thought I would try to take the Thanksgiving card I made a couple of days ago to the next level and this is what I came up with. I added some vintage brads and sewed a zig-zag line down the middle; unfortunately the thread bunched up at the top of the card. You can find the recipe for this card below on the Thanksgiving cards I made on Thursday. Thanks for stopping by!

Football Card
Ben has a birthday party to go to this evening and I made this card. It's not very fancy, but I really don't think that a teenage boy is going to care what the card looks like! Anyway, I made the football from a template I found online (don't know the name of the site, I just googled football template) out of Creamy Caramel cardstock. I used a white gel pen to made the stitching and lines and a Basic Black for the other lines. I then ran it through my Big Shot using the Small Dots Textured Plates. I then "roughed" it up a bit using a sponge and a Chocolate Chip inkpad. Drew some lines on the Really Red cardstock and used the white gel pen to make the numbers. Easy, peasy!
Stamps: None :)
Inks: Chocolate Chip, Basic Black marker
Papers: Creamy Caramel, Real Red
Accessories: White Gel Pen, Ruler, Big Shot, Small Dots Plate, Sponge, Stampin' Dimensionals
Thanksgiving MIT Card
The Mom's-in-Touch group at Ben's school asked me if I could make cards to go along with the treats they are bringing into school next Monday. This is the card I came up with. It felt good to dust off the 'ol stamp pads, ink up a stamp and watercolor! I have to make a birthday card for a party Ben is going to later on today; I'll try to post it after I am done. Enjoy the day - it looks like it's going to be a beauty!

Challenge Card
Wow - I actually was able to stamp today! I have missed stamping - I had a huge printing project for school that I recently finished and my back then went out. So between all of that and football I have been MIA! This card is for the weekly LateNightStampers challenge. We were given a layout and you had to create a card from it. I love the detail you get from the new Textured Impressions Folder - Petals-A-Plenty! This great folder is in the new winter mini-catalog. I also used the new ribbon from the mini called Mistletoe. Off to Antioch for Ben's game - have a great weekend!

Good Times!
This week's LateNightStampers Challenge is to do a card that has a summer theme. I saw the ducks from Wagon Full of Fun and thought the little guys would be fun to use for this card. I stamped the ducks 3 times, fully colored in 2 and only colored and cut the wing on one duck. I used a Hobby Blade to cut between the slats of the wagon. It's hard to see, but I used a Brilliant Blue brad to attach the handle of the wagon, and 2 Chocolate Chip brads for the wheels on the wagon. I sponged Kiwi Kiss along the bottom of the white Top Note cardstock, and used a water color brush to add some blades of grass. I then sponged YoYo Yellow at the top left-hand side for the sun, and then filled in with Bashful Blue for the sky using another sponge. Thanks for stopping by - hope you have a good one!
Stamp Sets: Wagon Full of Fun, Celebrate Everything (saying)

Thank You In Ruby Red!
This week's LateNightStampers challenge was to make a card using the colors Ruby Red, Chocolate Chip, Old Olive and Kraft. These aren't colors that I normally gravitate towards, so it was fun to come up with a card using them. I inked up the flower image using a Ruby Red marker and then lightly touched the edges with a Chocolate Chip marker. The stems were inked with an Old Olive marker. I then stamped the image 3 times on a piece of white cardstock. The edges of the cardstock were distressed and then I added some color with a sponge. Here's the details:
Stamp Sets: Flowers in Silhouette, Warmest Regards
Inks: Ruby Red, Chocolate Chip, Old Olive
Papers: Ruby Red, Chocolate Chip, Kraft, Whisper White
Accessories: Chocolate Chip and Old Olive Brads, Chocolate Chip Double-Stitched Ribbon, Eyelet Texturz Plate, Big Shot, Large Oval Punch, Scallop Oval Punch, Spiral Punch, Photo Corners Punch, Distressing Tool, Paper Piercing Tool, Mat Pack, Stampin' Dimensionals

Blog Tour Projects - Stayed Tune for Another Tour in July!
The following were projects I did for the blog tour. I chose to show projects using the awesome Mat Pack and Paper Piercing technique. The paper piercing template in the Mat Pack is awesome to use not only as a guide for piercing paper, but for setting brads and eyelets. I try to incorporate some type of paper piercing in almost all of my projects. Other ideas for paper piercing would be: create borders, rain drops, scallops, creating motion - paper pierce the trial of a butterfly, bee or bird, or create stems for flowers. The possibilities are endless, and it's a great way to enhance your creative works of art!
The projects are posted below. I hope you like them!
The above card is one that I did for the LNS Challenge this week. I paper pierced around the edge on the Brocade Blue c/s and just at the corners on the Chocolate Chip c/s (sorry, it's a little hard to see). I lightly rubbed a sponge over the stamped image using Bashful Blue, Brocade Blue and Always Artichoke. The moon image was made by punching out a circle with a 1-1/4" circle punch on a post-it-note. I layered this on the card after I stamped the flowers on the bottom.
Stamp Set: Pocket Silhouettes, Oval All
Inks: Brocade Blue, Bashful Blue, Chocolate Chip, Always Artichoke
Papers: Whisper White, Brocade Blue, Chocolate Chip DP & C/S
Accessories: Paper Piercer, Mat Pack, Large Oval Punch, 1-1/4" Circle Punch Brocade Blue Ribbon, Vintage Brads, Hodgepodge Hardware, Sponges, Post-It Note, Mini-Glue Dots, Stampin' Dimensionals
We actually did this card at my last stamp camp and it was a lot of fun to make. In the finished card, I also paper pierced just the border on the left-hand side of the card, and the scallops on the Baja Breeze scallop oval. I cut the flower image a part and layered each piece separate. The butterflies where layered together using Mini-Glue Dots and silver cording. Here's the details:
Stamp Set: Soft Summer, Oval All, Great Friend (butterfly image)
Inks: Baja Breeze, So Saffron, Kiwi Kiss, Basic Black
Papers: Walk in the Park DP, Whisper White, So Saffron, Baja Breeze
Accessories: So Saffron Ribbon, Oval Scallop Punch, Eyelet Border Punch, Silver Brads, Paper Piercing Tool, Mat Pack, Water Color Brush, Scissors, Silver Cording, Mini-Glue Dots, Stampin' Dimensionals
This is what the designer paper looked like after I was done "connecting the dots"!
The final product! The rose was embossed with white ep and the watercolored in using Cameo Coral and Apricot Appeal reinkers and an Aqua Pen.
Stamp Sets: Fifth Avenue Floral, Dear Friend (Saying)
Inks: Cameo Coral, Apricot Appeal
Papers: Whisper White, Cameo Coral, Certainly Celery, Vellum c/s
Accessories: Manhattan Folder, Large Dots Texturz Plate, Little Leaves Die, Big Shot, Window Punch, White EP, Heat Gun, Water Color Brush, Aqua Painter, Whisper White Ribbon, Mat Pack, Paper Piercing Tool, Scissors, Mini Glue Dots, Stampin' Dimensionals
I lined up the template from the Mat Pack and pierced a border along the edge.

SCS Challenge Card
I had a little bit of time to stamp today and came up with this card for today's SCS color challenge. The flowers were embossed with white ep and then I used the new watercolor technique; which I don't know the true name of! Sorry I have seen so many different names for this technique - if anyone out there knows the correct name - email me!! I found it easier to put a little bit of water on the image with my water color brush and then added the color with the Aqua Pen. I felt it gave me more control over the amount of water on the image. After I inked up one of the butterfly image with Summer Sun, I took a Only Orange marker and added some color along the edges. Here's the details:
Stamp Sets: Oval All, Soft Summer, Great Friend
Ink Pads & Reinkers: Kiwi Kiss, Only Orange, Summer Sun, Old Olive
Papers: Retired Summer Sun, Kiwi Kiss, Summer Sun, Whisper White
Accessories: Scallop Edge Punch, Large Oval Punch, Scallop Oval Punch, Only Orange Eyelets & Ribbon, CAD, Silver Cording, Water Color Brush, Aqua Painter, White EP, Heat Gun, Paper Piercing Tool, Mat Pack, Scissors, Stampin' Dimensionals, Mini-Glue Dots

It All Started.....
with these 2 cards...... I was going through my stash of cards and found these - the first 2 cards I ever made. I can't even tell you the name of the sets, but thought it would be fun to share them! I love stamping, and got hooked when I hosted a workshop in 1998 for my good friend, Lisa and her sister, Suzie. I think I signed up to be a demonstrator under Lisa shortly after that, and here I am 10+ years later!

Shimmery Flowers
Happy Mother's Day! I hope you're having a great day. I have to admit, that I feeling a little sad today and really miss my mom. She passed away 3 years ago after an 11 month battle with lung cancer. She was and will forever by my hero! I can't wait until I will see her again, and spend the rest of eternity with her!
I finally got my shimmery white card stock and had some time to try this new watercolor technique - now I can't stop! To create the effect, you need to first emboss your image using a VersaMark inkpad and white embossing powder. I tried this with gold ep, and didn't like the look at all. I then lightly ran the Aqua Painter over the image to get it wet; you can spritz some water on the card stock as well. Then took some color from the Apricot Appeal reinker and went over the image with the Aqua Painter, and added the Cameo Coral color from the reinker with the Aqua Painter. I believe that I first saw this technique on Patty Bennett's blog http://http://pattystamps.typepad.com/. After the card stock drys, simply cut it out and create your own work of art! I found that this technique only works on the Shimmery card stock - I tried it on Whisper White and Glossy and it didn't work at all. I am thinking of doing this technique at my upcoming stamp camp on Sunday, May 24th. Here's the details:
Stamps: Fifth Avenue Floral
Reinkers: Apricot Appeal, Cameo Coral
Papers: Shimmery White, Apricot Appeal, Certainly Celery, Whisper White
Accessories: Certainly Celery Ribbon, SU Little Leaves Die, Texturz Plate, Big Shot, VersaMark pad, White EP, Distressing Tool, Paper Piercing Tool, Mini-Glue Dots, Stampin' Dimensional
